Darling, Love, Baby
Do you smell the redwood trees? Darling, love, baby, Take me to the beach Watch the sun set Rest your tired feet. Darling, love, baby, I am not whole anymore Live with me a little wounded And I will give you more and more. Darling, lover, baby, Inspiration comes in many forms I'm a painter, I'm a poet Who painted you so beautiful? Darling, lover, baby, They say the river heals all wounds I never say what I a thinking Unless only the forest listens. Darling, lover, baby, We kn

Keep Your Eyes Closed, My Darling
Close your eyes, Listen To your heartbeat I do not expect you to tune out your thoughts I think that is impossible, Or I would not write so much. Eyes closed I see A hearth, Old fashioned, The center of A well loved cottage. Stone mantle. Plaster walls. Leaded windows, You know, the ones with The pattern That forms diamonds? I Lay On Soft Grass
In the spring And bugs crawl over me Reminding me One day I will be a corpse. It's not sad. It's beautiful, I think if anything, everything, Was forever We would forget to be grateful, Of course I am afraid The end comes too soon But I learn to face the sunny days And thank the bugs Only when the bugs eat my bones Will I rest, Until then I endeavor To love someone Every day Worship the sun Worship the moon Climb the ocean Swim every mountain range And kiss their perfect face.

Sweet Nectar, I Will Never Drink
I do this funny dance, Hummingbird Of honesty held in my hand, Gets eaten by a snake And my lips never move, saying things that do not match my brain Snakes can swallow anything whole - ostrich eggs and the earth And I am glad you cannot read my mind, it's dark in there, you'd lose your light Why are snakes a symbol of evil when they're just trying to survive? But I wish I could form my thoughts into sounds and say you are a perfect star in this violet - blue sky
