Have You Tried Asking A Stellar Jay?

If you listen to their screams

They speak

Better than we do.

And with all the time

They spend watching

From trees,

Railing,

Empty chairs,

Which they are more deserving of

Than the people

This world was made for.

And all that time watching,

Don't you think the

Stellar Jays know

A little more about you

Than you know about

Yourself?

If you cannot see

Past their beady eyes

Then I don't blame you,

But it's a shame

You'll never

Look at the

Stellar Jays

Knowing they are

One of many Kings

Of the world,

And their words are

Just as meaningful as ours;

What is a language

And do we not

Praise

Birdsong?
